  @Jeffro. How did they rate it as mixture when they admit in the first sentence that the images are authentic. Coca Cola denied that it was “required”, they didn’t deny the training didn’t happen, yet Snopes makes it seem like the training never happened or they couldn’t corroborate the evidence they themselves posted on their website and which Coca Cola admitted they provided the training.

  @IOWN thats what she chose to do though. If you want to be a princess, you have to do the job of a princess. Meghan is a self entitled brat, grown up in a place where everything got given to her, went to a low grade school for an easy degree to get herself even more entitled.

  I think the queen was right on this one: strip them from their titles and the free money. She is an old style parent, if you want to be brats, get out to the house and find yourself a job.

  JW Net and Politics

  this site was and remains instrumental in assisting people that want to leave the jw's.. there has been political discussion here for some time now, a good couple of years and it makes me feel a little uneasy.

  i just opened up the site for the first time in some weeks, of the 10 posts being discussed, 4 were by the same poster, about politics, promoting their right wing beliefs.. this has been the trend for some time now, the same name behind a peppering of posts stirring the right v left of politics.. i remain forever grateful to the site and it's founders simon & angharad, i appreciate that simon shares some of these these political beliefs.

  it would be a shame to see the site evolve from a place for jw freedom of thought and escape, to political squabbling, that the world is frankly tired of right now.. just to clarify, politics is my hobby, whilst my friends read the football scores, i'm reading polling data.

  As I said before. This site is about all things you do if you’re not a JW. I’ve had discussions about sex and kink and politics and families and children and house renovations.

  Right now, the left has made politics an issue in everything. Go to school - left wing politics, go to an event - left wing politics, sports, marriage, social media everything is permeated with left wing politics.

  For those of us that escaped JW-ism, current left wing views are very much akin to the WTBTS - you can’t say anything negative about their leaders, they are always right, the viewpoints change by the day and leadership can be as abusive and hypocritical as they want, raping children as in the case of Weinstein, Epstein and Clinton, creepy rapists like Biden and Cuomo but you say something bad about them or BLM or Antifa and you WILL GET FIRED from your job and removed from society as what happened recently to Gina Carano or that guy from Bachelor or Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs or a host of other people.

  So if everything is about politics, it makes sense that people on a largely anonymous site would like to speak their minds. The majority of people in this world does not like BLM or the anti-west viewpoints espoused by those on the left, but we need a place to speak.

  @slimboyfat: no, the assassination was Mossad, Israel’s CIA. Trump rocketed an Iranian terrorist in response to terrorist drone attacking key US infrastructure. Biden, after Iran attacked a US Embassy (similar style to Benghazi), decided to drone strike an empty Shia muslim outpost in Syria the furthest away from Iran. He also allowed Iran to restart their nuclear weapon stockpile.

  government is saying google should pay fees to news media for aggregating news.

  google says they will geo-block australia from search if forced to.

  raises some interesting questions about how dependant we have all become and how entangled google is in our lives.

  I agree, Sky News seems to be the only sensible media outlet, but often blocked by Facebook and Google as fake news.

  I disagree that content platforms should be regulated, unless ran by the government. If they advertise to be open, then block conservative outlets like Facebook/Google does on the regular, they should be held to truth in advertising laws. If they want to admit their bias, then that would be totally fine with me, as long as they are honest.

  Governments however should not be allowed to do business with companies that admit their biases to avoid government truth in advertising laws, if you say you are a left-wing oriented site, you get no money. This would put a damper on Amazon and Google cloud products if they wanted to block eg. Parler from their systems, then no government contracts for you.

  Yes, and there is an easy way of doing that. You give people an ID based on their birth certificate and hash that information. You now have an anonymous identifier which you can tie to a vote. This vote can go on a public blockchain. Any party interested can subscribe to the blockchain and verify their own vote from home while their avatars give a plausible deniability.

  People that say their votes were tampered with go back to vote again, which submits a cancel vote and a new vote.

  The opening songs are a small selection based on the script of the talk. So at the header of the talk there is typically a list of 3-5 songs the speaker can pick from, the direction is to pick songs that weren’t used in the last/next few meetings (there are some that disregard that and then you get situations where the song for the talk and watchtower study is the same) and there is an outline with sentences and scriptures he has to stick to for the talk.

  Everything is highly produced, there isn’t much left to personal choice.

  one thing i see is if they use the people who are drawn to acting one they will create internal stars.

  Hollywood is also an echo chamber, everyone in Hollywood that is not extreme-left gets rejected and blacklisted which results in more alphabetsoups being part of the group as you have to be pretty darn left to reject biological realities.

  This is the same as saying that there are no alphabetsoup JW's and all JWs normalize child sex offenders - which is true, leftists in general would not be attracted to the message and anyone that does engage in practices or points out the sex offender problem gets promptly kicked out of the group.

  There are conservative filmmakers, quite a bit of the best films in the 70s and 80s came from right-wing figures. Some of the best actors around both established and up-and-coming are conservative. You don't hear from them because they have an uphill battle getting recognized. But Jerry Bruckheimer, Matthew McConaughey, Adam Sandler, Vince Vaughn, Joe Pesci, Scott Baio, Jon Voight, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston, Keanu Reeves are or were some of the best actors and directors in history, and you haven't seen a good movie since Hollywood started actively blackballing some of these actors - literally look at the top rated movies (by viewers) of all time, the last one was The Dark Knight (2008) which was more than 10 years ago now.
